Well Sparda 2 things:
1) Black dyes arent that rare in pre (i got a white Very Happy);
2) it is a good idea cause pre is known for its great dye drop rate.

(try to be carefull with [img] looks a bit dum)

Dye drop rate is the same in pre but the things drop less and they are lower level so dyes are easier to get

Ive got a black dye in there 2 but i need 1 more then ive got 5 black dyes (got 8 black dye drops total or was it 9 can't remember)

i think a good place for farming black dye is plains of jarin, i used to farm sentient roots there so i didnt have to buy ID kits and since the enemies only take 1 hit you can clear it out pretty fast and theres no way you're going to die i've picked up at least 2 black dyes farming the sentient roots though ive stopped doing that now and on one run i remember getting both black and white dyes
